Lately i have been all into media and different socialmedia outlets etc. SO one day i was stalking peeps in YOUTUBE and said to M that i should do something like that. I mean wouldn't it be fun? and he said of course and we started to look more into it and OMG it is like one big bussiness but it is really fun and interesting. I think the reason why i got more interested was that i was taking some subjects in TURKU uni and they had a lot of interaction in the internet and used different sites and i had to learn the photoediting and all that. And guys this is soooooo much fun. Filming my first video i was like ewwwwww this sucks, i sound soooo aweful but the more you do it the more you get a hold of it and you start to like it. I mean editing videos is the fun part. YOu can add soo many things to your video and make it fun. Of course i do not have professional videos but heyyy don't ruin my fun. Try it yourself ;) This was my second video and guys i had sooo much fun, i do hope that you will like it ;) And in the bottom you can also see my first video. I know i know they are little edgy and beginnerishhh but i try to get better and i hope to get yaa'aall to support me!!!

Our last days in Finland went really fast. We cleaned the apartment, i got my school papers and then it was time to pack all our stuff. Ugh i hate packing and i was sooo afraid that our stuff is not going to fit into my little car (khmkhm that is not even that little but ohhh well). Luckily we squeezed everything in there, my car’s trunk was hanging sooo low. Even funnier was the fact that whenever you tried to speed up it made this little ohhhh sound like it was in pain or smth. Anyway we made it home and even had time to go to our favorite pizza place in Raisio before our two hour trip to the Helsinki Harbor. We chose the last ferry soo it arrived home at 00.30, but anyone who has been on a ferry with the car knows that it takes another 30 min to actually get off that freaking boat. Soo there we were or more sooo i was sitting in a car at 00.30 and thinking that it is soooo unfair that i have to drive and the sleeping beauty can sleep on the next seat. However the wait was not long and soon enough or more so after 1 am we were at home and in the bed safe and sound. The next day i had to wake up superrrrrrr early to give blood sample. We did not have a lot of time in Estonia. Soo all we did was little shopping in Kaubamaja and then drive off to Märjamaa. We spent two days there. Had our first grill this year - mmmm the sausages, how i missed them sooooo muchoooo. After spending some time in Estonia it was time to go again and this time we were travelling to FRANCEEEEEEE. Ohhh i like this country, i am not soo found of the people and the only reason is that i do not speak the language :(((( and they do not want to speak English here most of the times but anyway i doo like the possibilities here and oooohh myy i like to shop in Sephora. Soo what have we done here???? Well we went to different places. On Saturday we went to museum kind of thingy. It was called Escal Atlantic and basically it is in the huge building and the interior of the building is made to look like big cruise ship that use to sail between France and USA. It was really cool and reminded me the exhibition of Titanic. Like the first thing you see when you enter is big corridor with cabin doors. Then you go to the deck and there is simulation that gives you a real feeling that you are on a boat. There are also sunbathing deck, cabins, piano hall, captain rooms, dining room, theatre etc. The History junkie in me was geeking up sooo badly. You can find more information here - http://www.mairie-saintnazaire.fr/eng/escal-atlantic/ On sunday we went to yet another history event and this time it was Medieval Festival (or Fete Medival). It was held in Guerande - Fete Medival. We went to see the duel and horse show. Also around the fort were different tents and themes of live roll playing. For example you could see the farm life, the witches/healers, knights, sailors, craftsman, archery, iron works, medieval games, medieval music and performances, lot of people wearing costumes. It was really awesome and the forth was massive, having little streets and buildings insides, also a big square and a church. The Historian in me was overwhelmed. To top it off we had this ultra mega sweet bun, it felt like you were eating a caramel candy. MMM noms. On our way out we also visited candy shop and bought some fudge. Also my dad was lucky enough to get us lost on our way to the car -- something with the French street system and how there were noo shortcuts possibleee.....
One day i asked my grandpa if it is okay if we go with him and see the bees, since M had never been in the bee farm and it had been a long time since i was there the last time. So on a nice sunny day we took the car and had a little countryside trip to visit the bees.
Right now my grandpa has 7 bee families. He used to have more but over the winter some of them died, mostly because if the pesticides people put on their fields. It is a big problem and bees are in grave danger. It might happen that in near future the bees are endangered species and when this happen we can say bye bye to our beloved fuits and veggies. In some parts of world it is already happening and for example in some parts of China the people have to do the flower dusting part that usually bees do, themselves. My grandpa said that he even saw a documentary where the Chinese people where climbing on the trees and dusting the flower petals. So please think about the bees and the fruits before you kill them with poisons and pesticides. However to go back to our field trip. We had a lot of fun and even saved one family from flying away. Some times when the family has two queen bees it divides into halves and the older queen bee flyes away with some of the bees. Usually they first fly nearby and then circa 1 day later they go looking for new nest places further away. However this time we were there the right time and my grandpa could catch them again and put them back in the nesthouse (i called them the bee villas). Also sometimes they fly really high and it is impossible to catch them but this time we were lucky and yayy he did not lose any of them. Also while my grandpa was showing us the inside of the nest, he took one rack out so M could make pictures while holding it and well guess what poor American got sting. I think he got little scared since one of them flew inside his jacket and he started to run around and booom he got sting. But the good news are that he is not allergic and i did get the needle out without breaking the poison cloth that is in the end of the needle. When all the pictures where taken it was time to save my grandpas bees and by saving them i mean he just cracked the tree branch and carried them to the nest and voila they were back in home safe and sound. After my grandpa had saved the world it was time to go back home and leave the bees alone - something with too much excitement for one day :) MY last post i ended with Marc coming to Finland. Well after that we fell sort of in a routine and had our days full of studying and working. However we did sing up in a local gym and went there almost every day. The gym prices are cheaper here if you only want to use the gym however if you want the full package it is pricier, but since we both prefer gym we did not need the zumba and other fancypancy workout classes. In my school wise i only had four classes in a week and all the other classes i had to do online. I was in a fancypancy Facebook based seminar and that was definitely a first for me. I was very amazed about the idea of using social media for study purposes (waowwww). The other class was with occasional meetings with professor and there i had to create an e-learning course. I really liked that class and it was a good way to connect IT with humanities. I made my course about metal-detecting. Third seminar was about archaeology and there i wrote my first popular-science blog post. I am not sure if it is already up but i will probably link it later if i can find it. The same time Marc was working hard on his internship tasks. He is working currently in a shipbuilding company and has his internship also in there. So there we were living together like an old couple and enjoying our everyday routine. In between our everyday life we also had our birthdays. This was the first year we were actually together on our birthdays, usually we have to rely on website stores to get each other something awesome. Here are some pictures from M birthday, And here are some from my birthday. hahaha well a funny thing happened, i blew out my candles and forgot to wish soo, we had to light them again so i could make a wish.
khm khm, to be honest it was more M who made them, but i helped with eating. These pancakes or in estonian pannukad where sooooooo good and nomsssss. So to not keep you waiting here is the recipie for the HEALTHY pancakes Ingredients: 1 cup Almond flour 1/4 cup water Vanilje Aroma Steavia 2 eggs 1/4 tbs salt 2 tbs coconut oil Toppings: What ever your heart wishes, but we stayed on the healthy track and but on some honey and blueberris. Our time here in Finland is coming to an end very soon and it is almost time to start packing our stuff and head back to Estonia, but before we will do that i thought it would be a nice idea to kind of write here about the things we did here in Finland.
I arrived here on a cold winter day all alone and yes i had been in Raisio area many times but not in the actual city of Turku. I had been there once before and then my mom took us there and back. So this time i was all alone. I had to figure out the bus schedules and the stops. However this was not the first thing i had to figure out, before i even made it to Raiso i was driving all alone in the big city of Helsinki but luckily i had a navigation and that went smoother than my very first bus ride to Turku. I always thought that
Well i was wrong about both. I got on a bus and i was sooo nervous. 20 min passes and i see a church big enough for it to be the Main Turku Church. Soo i go to the bus driver and ask when is Toomikirku stop and of course she does not understand me at all. She makes this annoying face and what, apparently it was the only word she knew, and then she just opened the bus doors and made it clear that i should leave. Ughh it was 8 o'clock on a morning and well we all know how dark the mornings are here in north. Anyway after i was getting myself together again i found myself being lost and no idea where to go??? The first person i approach of did not speak English and there i was all alone in the middle of the market square trying to find the god damn way to the school. Now thinking back it is pretty funny since the school is soo close to the city center but at that time i didn't know that.... After i had this minipanicthing going i got myself together and asked one lady to show me the directions and luckily i found the way.... Hahhaha but that was not all i could not find the building saw i just kind of assumed that some students are going there as well and finally we all made it happily there. After my three lonely days Marc came to Finland and had an adventure of his own. He did not have a local phone number and i could not get ahold of him however after lots of worrying and loosing some nerves, he did made it here and i went to pick him up. There we were meeting each other after 6 long months... and now boom living together for the very first time.... I though it would be a good idea to kind of list the things we miss about different places and well what better place to start then the ''land of opportunities''. This post is strictly about THE THINGS (we too miss the M family soooo much, Sending love to Martinez family!!) Anyway here are the things we miss and i started this post with Marc's things. What Marc misses: Taco Cabana - Quesadillas Spec's- just going there on summer days, while thinking what i want to drink by the pool Starbucks- environment and iced coffee Albertsons- i just like that place, i get my food from there. The night time is the best time to go. Panda Express- teriyaki chicken and veggies, it is sooo easy to get it. You just go there and booom, easy post-work out meal. Boomnmmmmmm. Whataburger- Everything, i am from Texas!! Yihhhaaaaaa!!! Crispy Creams- glazed doughnuts, every cheat day i eat like 8 glazed ones, Wing Stop- original hot chicken strips!!!! Also fries and ranch sauce, on the side!! Chipotle- Steak bowl, with everything on it, with guac. - i know it is extra. Hoppy Monk- the burgers and the beer. The Blend- The Spartan smoothie. Because i am the Spartan. 24 hr gyms!!! What I (Sanna) misses: Ross (dress for less)- hahahha i know, you would ask that who goes there but hey do not judge me okay. I like it. It is like a good therapy place. You just go there and feel good, little shopping and some mental therapy. Dairy Queen - S'morse blizzard, nomsss Chili's- they have my fav chicken there!!! Gorditas- just sooooo goood. Starbuck- Decaf Frappuccino!!! Victoria Secrets - just love love this store. Especially when it is their sale time. Yaaaazzzz. Maui Onion Chips!!!! Walmart - hahah for the longest i did not want to admit it but hey haters going to hate. The Blend- Nutty Monkey. Such good blended smoothies. Hershey's sweets! Cheap Almond Milk!!!! (Different flavours and extra fibre, just name it) Warm Weather and the pool !!! Cheaper shipping from most of the websites such as Amazon, EBay etc. And that is all from now :* I think our biggest difference is being punctual. If i look at myself and think back i have always been on time or even earlier. I do not know why but i get this major anxiety when i have to go somewhere and the usual outcome is that i leave the house too early and then wonder around before the meeting (nowadays i even make M go with me way earlier). However in USA people seem to be soo relaxed with their timing, being late is usual and nobody cares too much about it. Whereas in Estonia it is really a bad impression when you are late. I remember that sometimes when i would be late to class i would consider not going or make my way there overly early because nobody wants to walk in a class where you have circa 100 students and almost all of them are staring at you when you make your way to your desk. IT did not make it easier that the professor would stop his speech and stare along as well. The time we have been together has made me more relaxed about the time and being on punctual, however in some occasion i still find myself arguing with M over the fact that we were 5 minutes late to the gym and we did not leave exactly 5 pm even though i said specifically that I WANT TO BE THERE AT 5 SHARP.
The other difference is with the phrase RIGHT NOW. I mean how do you understand it? For me the right now means in this very second. Like right now means i will get up and go or do something. For M right now means he says he will do it right now but in-between him saying it and doing it there is a pause. And well the pause can vary from 5 min to an hour. I think for this concept of right now i have got pissed off sooooooooomanyyyyy times. I am not a patient person and right now for my Estonian understanding means right now but for his American understanding it is somewhere in near future in-between 5 minutes to next 2 hours or sooooo :D :D. I think i even remember my mom saying something like - right now is right now. But hey i have to accept it and well a little argument here or there makes it spicyyyy and we all know that Mexicans like their salsa spicy ;) Since i ended my last sentence with salsa i think it is right time to talk about the food. oohh yesss the amazing food, ooh do not get me wrong Estonian potato is great but some occasional Mexican food here and there... oohhh nomsss. Just only thinking about it makes my taste buds cry in angst against separation. The food there is good, sometimes little too spicy and too much for my petite Estonian potato tolerant stomach but hey i can't help it, it is delicious.... Anyhow i think we can count this difference in the group where we have all the good and exiting differences. Here is a picture of my ultimate favourite dish from there. This is called Gordita and it is absolutely amazing!! In this post i am going to talk about S&M and Noooooo i am not going to talk about THE S&M in the sense of all you dirty minds are thinking. However i am going talk about us - Sanna and Marc (get it S&M.... winkiwink, hahahahha).
It is a rather funny story and weird. As you all know we met 4 yrs. ago in Hawaii and well for the first year we did not skype nor had any other kind of live contact besides Facebook messenger (later also Whatsapp). I think we have there over 20000 messages and more. The reason why we never skyped before was that i was kind of afraid and embarrassed about my english level and skills, and always kind of dodged the video calls. Anyway the time passed fast and before we knew, it had been a year since we met and this crazy american wanted to come to Estonia. A country he did not even knew existed before meeting me and now he wanted to come here??? To be honest it was little scary and exciting.... For the longest part i did not believe he would come here. In my head i was seeing this scene from Catfish where instead of a person you thought you were going to meet, you meet this old man or a woman who has been using other persons pictures. The other thought was me being in a candid camera and like a secret cam is filming you and then somebody jumps out from somewhere and says that You got punked. The drive to the airport was the most scariest and exciting. I think there was 1 million thoughts racing in my head. It did not make it easier either that he had messaged me the night before and informed that his flight got cancelled and now he had to find alternative flight route. I think i even answered back something douche like sure and switched off my phone because i was soo sure that he is some sort of Catfish person and just kind of leading me on. I mean to be honest how surreal it sounds that somebody is going to fly to the other end of the world for just YOU?? However he did make it there in person and we had a wonderful time together that leaded into us traveling to the different continents more often. Lately we have been watching lot of different movies. I have discovered some of my old favorites but also there are some new ones. First of all i would like to share my disappointment on 50 shades of Grey. I know i am a bit late on this disappointment ride but whaaat was up with that movie??? It was edited in such a bad way and to be honest i got bored. All the close ups when the female actor chewed her lips and many other things, were done soo unprofessionally that it left me feeling like i was watching one of those late night shows (you know the ones you accidentally click on and then your remote stops working and to be spared the embarrassment you just hit your remote until it starts working and you can change the channel). Second move that we watched lately is The Kingsman. To be honest i would prefer this movie over the last one. This movie is sooo surreal and funny. I highly recommend this but be aware you have to have that dark kind of humour sense. Here is a little gif. from the movie. The third movie (it is going to be the last for this post) is The Purge. There is two movies actually. One of them came out last year and the other came out on 2013. In my opinion the newer one is better - The Purge: Anarchy. They story for this movie is that in future USA there is going to be one day when all the crimes are allowed ( also murder etc). This movie is a little bit scary but it is more so an action movie than a horror movie and well Me Likey Action. I also highly recommend watching this one. Maybe it is better if you watch the older one before, well we did the other way around and maybe that’s why i did not like the older one. Anyway here is a little gif about this movie.
